Good Monday Morning! This is a busy week of getting paperwork done. I am asking to be covered in prayer this week. Satan has really launched an emotional attack on me in the last week. Without going into details Satan has really tried to discourage me by trying to put negative thoughts in my head about becoming such a large family. I have also been overcome with fear that we will not get positive support from family and friends. I know these thoughts are not from God.

We are also preparing a package to send out to the girls today via another adoptive family. I can not wait to hug them and love on them. As a parent I can't wait to take them out of their tattered clothes and put them in a beautiful white/clean dress. As I am writing this it reminds me of our Heavenly Father. I am sure he is looking down on us right now thinking the same thing. He can't wait until given the word to bring his children out of this earthly world and out of our tattered clothes and into our new white/clean robes. I can't wait for that day!!

I was just talking to my friend Mary, who is also adopting again, about becoming a family of 9. Then I realized how are we all going to eat at the same time. Here is a picture of our kitchen table the first day we brought the boys home, now a family of 7.

Now, Jacob is in his special chair so we don't have to worry about him. However, Faith is no longer in a high chair and we are adding two more people to the family. The problem . . . that eat-in-kitchen area is not magically going to get any bigger just because we added two more children. I guess the old days of eating around the table together is gone. We will have to put two at the kitchen bar and mommy and daddy will just have to stand while they eat. The sad thing is that table actually expands to seat eight, we just don't have room to expand it! I am so thankful that God continues to grow our family in spite of the size of our table.

We are happy to announce that we have been approved to adopt two beautiful girls from Ethiopia. I know what you are thinking, "didn't you just finish an adoption???" Yes we did! Right now we have very little information about the girls. I believe they were going for their medical appointment today. We think the oldest is about 6 or 7 years old. She has beautiful big dark eyes. She is very small and malnourished. She has no family that is known of. The younger girl is 3 years old. We also don't know much about her. She does not appear to be too small but you can tell by her hair that she is malnourished and not well cared for.

Which leads me to my to do list:

1. Complete Dossier
2. Buy a 15 passenger van
3. Buy two more sets of bunk beds
4. Try to re-arrange bedrooms again

Global Food Crisis Day

Today is Global Food Crisis Day! Here in America most of us have no idea what it means to be hungry. Yes, we miss a meal and our stomach begins to growl but have you ever really been hungry. I love the post on this blog about taking care of the impoverished in the world.

SOOOOO here is one part of our exciting news from last week. We are going to volunteer with Shaohannah's Hope at the United Tour(Steven Curtis Chapman/Michael W. Smith) concert. I don't have any details so not real sure what we will be doing but I am very excited. We have such a passion for advocating for orphans in the world and have been just waiting for an opportunity to serve.

Hope to be able to share part two of exciting news soon.

As we are praying about adopting again I have been reading about large families and how they manage. One of the blogs I follow is Owlhaven and she has just written a book about their large family with tips from other large families. She is also giving away a copy of her book. So check out the link above.
