Update on the kiddos

Jacob did very well yesterday with his MRI. I was able to stay with him until he was asleep and was back with him before he woke up. Will we get the results of the MRI when we see the Neurologist again in two weeks.

Now, an update on Faith. We played around with Faith's diet excluding all the foods listed from the allergy test. Guess What? She still got hives!! Obviously it is not food related. This leaves me more confused than ever, but it is good to know that we will not have to put her on a special diet. Strangely she has not had any hives for the last week.

Big Test Day for Jacob

This is a picture of sweet Jacob enjoying the snow yesterday. Tomorrow, Friday, Jacob has a big appointment. At 10:30 he will be having his MRI and he has to be completly knocked out. Please be in prayer for his safety during this procedure and if God willing we will get some indication of what happened to Jacob.
I love this picture because you can just see the spirited little boy stuck inside that body wanting to get out!! He is such a precious child of God and we enjoy every minute with him.
GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME

SNOW FINALLY!!!!

We ended up with almost an inch of ice and two inches of snow. This is the first time Gabriel and Jacob have seen snow. I think they both enjoyed it!

AND STILL MORE ICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had mostly rain last night but the temperature has dropped below freezing again. We expect more ice and a little snow through midday.

No, Faith did not get punched in the face. Faith has frequently had hives since the day we meet her. At first, we assumed it was probably stress related but it has progressively gotten worse. After she woke up from nap one day, looking like the picture above, I decided it was time for some allergy testing. Well, the verdict is in and Faith is allergic to most of what I feed her. After the test results we played around with her diet and have come to the follow conclusion. Faith is allergic to milk, eggs, tomato, potato, chicken, peanuts, corn, peas. There were a few others foods that she tested positive for that we do not normally eat. Although she has not had what I would consider a major reaction causing breathing issues her reactions have become more frequent and more severe. SOOOO, I am going to have to make some changes to our menu. If anyone has any great recipes(allergen free) or advice please feel free to share.
